LA RECENSIONE

Classical music enthusiasts will turn up their noses at this kind of work. But it is known that library music offers both joys and sorrows to listeners, freeing the creative flair of authors who, for once, are free from the constraints imposed by the majors or the taste of the public.

Baroque Jazz et Romantisme falls within the classical crossover genre, which involves the blending of classical music elements with other genres, predominantly jazz.

To understand what I mean, it would be enough to listen to a piece like Drums-Fugue contained in the work reviewed here, whose title might deceive the listener. Indeed, the prevailing sounds are not the jazz ones but rather the classical ones. In my opinion, it is a work suitable for creating a relaxing musical background, perfect for nighttime and all relaxation moments.

I also believe that this work will disappoint the purists of jazz and classical music who, as is known, hardly tolerate incursions outside orthodoxy. For the less uncompromising, it can prove to be a pleasant listen. It's up to you.
