Performances like this one are meant to weave the threads together. As far as the year goes, we are at 15 years of constant sonic weaving. In terms of giving, we're around a hundred canvases. Collectors are divided into those who are struck by the initial works and disappointed by the subsequent ones. Perhaps because they wish to relive the initial emotional symptoms or embark on the same lunar safari. Other collectors enjoy an intense (and alternating) pleasure in witnessing the subsequent productions of the acclaimed company. Perhaps because they observe these canvases, different from the first ones but no less interesting, several times.

Live, the two craftsmen from Versailles present themselves all in white, with the only addition of a drummer. The idea is to manually weave their tapestries reducing the use of digital artifices to the bare minimum. The result is excellent, the canvases gain depth and it feels like being inside a Renaissance workshop while witnessing a live adaptation of a familiar environment in a different form. What is lost in perfection is amply compensated by the revelation of the basic elements in all their beauty made of simplicity and elegance. All this is gradually absorbed by the attentive audience, who watch a bit bewildered at the first three canvases of the new "Love2" presented as a trial. Afterward, it's a succession of pleasant re-creations, at least three of which are enchanting.

The first enchantment comes with "Tropical Disease" woven with such an enveloping lysergic green that it teleports the audience to another dimension. Here, more than anywhere else, you perceive the ability to weave sound threads that belong to at least three decades, making their tapestry unique and original. The second enchantment is conveyed with the instrumental version of "Playground Love", so essential and poignant that it unites the public. You realize that most have come as couples, and the atmosphere created by the sounds is so intimate that it is no time for taking pictures but for cuddling together, embracing, kissing. And you know this will precede the shared joy called "Kelly", "Sexy Boy", "Alpha Beta Gaga". The third enchantment is the final one, where you are projected into who knows where by the Silver Lady, and you remain mute and astonished. You come out grateful to these French Penelopes because they have kept their promises. Those of amplifying the perception of three fundamental elements of our life: Amour-Imagination-Rêve.

Ulysses can still wait.
