Do you believe the no-wave is dead??? You’re right. Absolutely right.
Yet, there is someone who in almost total secrecy, like among the best conspiracies ever conceived by the political-insurrectionist minds of our planet, tries to bring it back to life, following atmospheres now forgotten, deceased, sacramented, and let me say: for the most part, tormented. But let's move forward. If you imagined you could go back to New York in the first half of the '80s thanks to a time machine, and your task was to change the continuum of independent music of that era to the point of exasperation, what would you expect to generate? Chaos? Destruction? The extinction of some political species (if it still exists)? Public disorder and/or abomination? Hmm...
Well, if you're thinking all that, you have two types of problems:
1) you are a threat to democracy (and you know this, don’t convince yourself otherwise just because you excessively abuse pornography..);
2) you have never heard of a project self-named AIDS WOLF.
And if that's the case, you've done wrong, terribly so.
What sense does this mish-mash of nonsense that I'm allowing myself to grant you make? Why do I strive to bring these musical-"conspiracists" to your attention, unique members of a shadow government buried by the mammoth and horrifying desires of our own pseudo-society?
Because finally, in my opinion, someone has understood something about this damned and sadistic line that Darwin defined as "Evolution", and these individuals, in this sense, demonstrate an absolutely contradictory yet transparent and regurgitating nature, as noted and incubated in their album "Cities Of Glass". The people we are talking about not only hit the mark in their intent but also frighten. Socially.
Digging into the details, the CD unfolds in 10 tracks and was released in September 2008. Unfortunately, tg1 didn't talk about it, nor did Feltri, or Farina, call me to denounce what can be cataloged as a psycho-visual tear riding sonic abnormalities philo-Taliban and hence enemies of democracy. Imagine if Pollari had ever intercepted tracks like "Tied Up" (second track) whose inhuman cravings would have very likely forced him to self-constitute as a civil party in a trial against himself. Or picture Pio Pompa trying to escape from "Rilevant Issues" (ninth track), a deformation of the inflated self overflowing with a (slightly too much) excessive "will to power". Quite an astounding spectacle, don't you think? I don't, in fact. And what if Armando Corona had given up freemasonry to devote himself to the stereoscopic study of "A Sacrificial Drone" (eighth track)? Ah, I do not believe that Italy could have taken a better turn than the current one. Quite the opposite.
To conclude: the world has definitively capsized, and you would do well to come to terms with it, for real. Yes sir, don’t make excuses, don’t pretend to look at yourself in the mirror with a hesitant air to hide from yourself this bleak and legitimate Reality, because if that were the case, albums like the one described above would know how to put you immediately on the right path in no time. And here you have the reflection of modern society inoculated into music, AIDS WOLF. A walking carcass that mocks every song-form ever conceived, notably beating it to resize its soul with disarming ease, never proposed before, and to its own purpose: in a few words? Neo-Pagan audiovisualism. The best tribal background for any end that deserves it. The soundtrack of a thousand and more social, global dissidents and so on.
VERSION FOR MODERN NON-READERS: abused guitars, harrowing and shrill voices, expired drums (spoiled).
I don't think you've ever considered modernity so fragilely as proposed from this point of view.
To you, therefore, the guide to contemporary cities of glass.
I hope I have been as explicit as this work.
Regards.
