Agincourt was a small English music project centered on Peter Howell and John Ferdinando, active around the late 1960s into 1973. They recorded several releases under different names and from the third release used the name Agincourt; Fly Away features guest vocals by Lee Menelaus and blends pastoral folk, soft psychedelia and early dream-pop textures.

Peter Howell, one of the principal members, later worked at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

A detailed, enthusiastic DeBaser review celebrates Agincourt's Fly Away as a pastoral blend of soft psychedelia, dream pop and folk-pop. The review highlights Peter Howell and John Ferdinando's partnership and Lee Menelaus's distinctive vocals. Notes the record's rarity and later reissues for collectors.

For:Fans of psychedelic folk and dream pop, collectors of rare British 1970s vinyl, listeners of pastoral/progressive folk.

The ace up their sleeve is the addition of the female voice of Lee Menelaus: her dreamy and hypnotic timbre often embraces the clear vocals of John Ferdinando in a unison journey of rare brightness, the opener When I Awoke remains etched on the first listen, imagine Comus in intensive Lexotan therapy or the Incredible String Band no longer tripping diving headfirst into a pool filled with white chocolate mousse or finally the very first Renaissance aftermath of the theft of all classical scores and you'll have the idea.
