Holy Polenta, the Agents of Satan! Even black metal blunders tremble (and not from the cold) before such beastly cruelty powerviolence.
This CD is a real treat, through and through. It consists of 43 tracks taken from various splits with gentlemen of the caliber of No Le$$, Noothgrush, Burn the Priest, and a few live tracks. The ruckus offered is sludge/hc/powerviolence, played with a satanic & playful attitude that makes everything very entertaining and brings both the raw sound and the sarcastic, irreverent attitude of A.o.S. back to the early, great American hc bands.
A few titles of these songs give an idea that these guys weren’t the usual boring ideas-recycling group often lacking a shred of imagination: “Goatcore”, “Unholy ascension”, “Crust=glam”, “Black metal bat” etc... I give them a 5 because I love the genre and especially them for the attitude precisely because I'm rather tired of the usual ideals that hardcore/punk has been screaming for 30 years as if it was the only one to notice certain things and the rest of the world was petrified.
It is certain that in these 43 tracks (because indeed they are tracks) things like sound clarity, professionalism, and technique are absent, but it surely wasn’t the intention of Ramon Salcido, Lord Ballsack, Junky Love, and Stinkweed to include such useless ingredients in their gruesome recipe.
