Debut album by Against All Logic, or rather the debut album of Nicolas Jaar under this pseudonym.

The American-Chilean artist, who has accustomed us to his refined ambient-chill atmospheres, presents himself under a new name (perhaps a questionable choice from a commercial point of view) leaving us with an all-house and sampling compilation, which is nothing more than a collection of his previous works.

It is a true compilation, so it does not present itself as an organic album nor does it claim to be one, but rather presents itself as a hodgepodge of tracks ranging from funk to house, enhanced by a series of samples taken from soul and hip-hop tracks.

The compilation starts with a funky "This Old House Is All I Have" to move on to the dreamy and suspended atmospheres of "Cityfade", passing through the raw house of tracks like "Now U Got Me Hooked", and ending with energetic and overwhelming tracks like "Such a Bad Way" and "You Are Going to Love Me and Scream".

A.A.L proves once again that he knows how to do the job of a DJ very well, offering a series of tracks perfect to remix on the console to set the dance floor of a club on fire.

It's certainly not the quality work that the good Nicolas Jaar has accustomed us to, but at the same time, it's a shame to miss it, especially in these times of pandemic and lockdown when thinking about dance floors crowded with dancing and dreaming people brings a tear to our eyes.
