Rainy evening at the Filmore in Piacenza.

The concert begins: since the English version of the latest CD (Ballads For Little Hyenas, with which the band will tour the USA) has just been released, Manuel starts singing the latest hits: "The Thin White Line", "White Widow"... Someone starts shouting "Manuel, italian! we don’t know the lyrics". Someone else tries to adapt to the new situation "I want a splendid skin!" "Let me lick the adrenaline!". Someone timidly whistles.

The band then plays some classic hits to calm the audience. But it's not over. It starts with Ci Sono Molti Modi. The audience hopes it's in Italian. But instead, it starts "There’s many ways". Boos. How bad. It was her anyway. But this time the boos are heard. Manuel stops the song, gets up and retrieves the guitar, not sparing sarcastic remarks to the audience. He starts playing the intro of "Smoke on the water". He took it to heart. Then "1.9.9.6." starts, but you can see he's upset with the audience. Someone throws a paper ball at him, but he continues and keeps playing other classic songs. A paper ball hits Manuel in the face. He stops again, stops playing. You can see he's counting to ten. The audience understands and bursts into applause. They try to encourage him. Well, nothing, he starts playing again. The first part of the concert ends. Break. Return.

They kick off with "Bye Bye Bombay". Boos can be heard, guys climbing on stage to jump into the crowd... suddenly, Agnelli tears the guitar off, throws it to the ground and lunges at the audience. A general scuffle ensued, and the official news confirms that Manuel punched a fan who had been holding up his middle finger for over half an hour. Other people intervened to calm things down, then Manuel got back on stage and left.
End of the concert, everyone went home, incredulous.
