A band, in the opinion of the writer, is a great band if it proves its worth from a CD and especially "Live," on stage. The very essence of music is Live... this "In diretta dal Sole" is an excellent live album.
You can clearly capture and feel the desire to make music and to make the audience dance and have fun. The group from Pinerolo achieves this brilliantly on this album. The CD opens with a very DUB version of "Scegli" where Bunna demonstrates having a very delicate and versatile voice. The following tracks "Salmodia" and "Festa Italiana" feature the horns section taking the lead, masterfully supported by a rhythm section that will hardly keep you from tapping your foot. The beauty of this "Live" lies in the fact that it is full of music, let me explain better: AU play Reggae but in "Ruggine", "Soffici Sapori" and all the rest of the songs, you can feel Rock atmospheres in the purest sense of the term. And that's not all, Rock, Reggae, and Dub follow one another in a crescendo of intensity truly fitting for a concert.
Africa Unite, supported by a truly Great production, I repeat, take you to one of their concerts while comfortably lying on your bed.
