2006 Africa Unite.
A lot of albums behind them, with very different sounds. Reggae rhythms, dub, and much more experimental things nestled between raggamuffin, dub, and who knows what else.
This is a strange album, which once again deviates from the previous one. New sounds, also found a bit in the latest album from their Salento colleagues Sud Sound System (More than usual reggae rhythms, a great quantity of raggamuffin on reggae bases and electronic elements).
Most of the tracks in this album have abandoned the "classic" reggae that could be found in other works by Africa Unite. The main sounds are either Raggamuffin or reggae with very dubbing sounds compared to usual (the most successful moment seems to be the final part of "Bit Crash", with a truly excellent dub development of the track).
Other tracks that deserve to be listened to and relistened to in order to be absorbed are definitely "In nomine", "Il segreto del numero scomparso" and the very danceable "Watch Out". The least singable and easiest to listen to track of the album is most likely "Beatkilla". A kind of raggamuffin with sounds at the edge of listenability, speaking relatively to this genre (compared to Alva Noto it's like listening to Bob Marley!).
Good job nonetheless for Bunna and the other friends from Turin.

"If a band after twenty-five years can still reinvent their sound, surprising their fans while staying true to their principles, then let me say, it is truly a great band, without ifs and buts."
"'Controlli' is not a reggae album in the classic sense, but a work strongly characterized by electronics and especially by dub."
