I open another wonderful page of Italian progressive music with an artist who has now fallen into oblivion: "Adriano Monteduro."

This second and beautiful album by the "Reale Accademia Di Musica" was later credited to the band itself and not its solo singer. And all this, perhaps because it was little regarded in the Italian rock scene. The record is an interesting blend of symphonic/romantic prog compositions that soothe the ears and tend to develop a serene fairytale atmosphere in the listener's imagination. From this work, the band's talent is more evident compared to the previous album and Monteduro's skill with the acoustic guitar, of course without neglecting his beautiful voice (tuned and deep).

The arrangements are delicate and primarily based on piano and electric guitar, with the use of organ and mellotron rarely heard. The atmosphere seems to recall other famous bands of the era such as "Celeste" and "Quella Vecchia Locanda". The tracks continuously alternate between lively atmospheres like, for example, "La Favola del Guardiano del Bosco" and darker atmospheres like "Le Montagne nel Tramonto". Romantic above all, but also folk with those guitars halfway between Neil Young and "Strawbs."

If you're looking for a more delicate prog album, this is suitable for you; otherwise, you can opt for the more physical atmospheres of the previous album.

Recommended but not essential.
