I start with the premise that I have never seen the movie from which this soundtrack is taken, given the unavailability of the movie in any format (divx, vhs, dvd…), I begin by saying that "Geppo il folle" is a hidden gem in the discography of the Celenta national-popular phenomenon and of all Italian music (exaggerated!, n.d.malgioglio).

The album was definitely produced to ride the disco trend that was prevalent at the end of the seventies. However, all the tracks have a nice vibe, that's for sure!

Honestly, I wouldn't know which tracks to recommend, because in my opinion the entire product is very valid. The orchestrations are excellent, the groove is just right. Perhaps track four is the one that makes your hips move the highest (a trashotic quote from the submissive Canzian), but overall they are all noteworthy pieces. The slow jams "Say a little prayer" and "Hello America" are well executed, with nice electric guitar solos included. "Say a little prayer", moreover, seems to come from the hands of Stefano Pulga, the legendary producer of Kano, or from the legendary Full Time label, with studio projects like Ago; and it is truly surprising that they're actually made by Celenta!

A must-have then, even for those who criticize the "molleggiato".

This is "Geppo il folle", then. A super concentrate of sounds full of blackness that surprise and excite… the album can be easily found on eBay for a few euros on CD.
