I have just finished reading Lucio Domizio Aureliano by Adelmo Sidoli, Ge.Di. editions. The Author is a biologist with a passion for history. When purchasing this book, I thought I had stumbled upon a historical novel. Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead, I discovered an emperor about whom I knew nothing, a man who, in just over five years, revolutionized the world and equipped Rome with the walls that can still be admired today. It is a precise monographic work, rich in information and new, well-documented hypotheses. It is not an easy book, but in my case, it filled a gap I did not realize I had. A pleasant surprise that I recommend to those who love the history of Rome.
