Rating: Adam Anthony (Australia): videoclip of "The Unified Field", IAMX (Gbr/Ger) from "The Unified Field" (2013)
I don't know the film "The Maestro" (nor the director) but it must have evidently pleased Chris Corner because this video (release of the single preceding the new album: expected for next February) is somewhat (at least it seems so) of a spin-off.
A pretty "danceable" song (4/4 at 130 bpm) that hides (albeit distant) echoes of Underworld and some citation of the chemical brothers. Little Dream Pop (the other single already has more) this time around but so, so, so much scent of Albion clubs. Do I like it? I like it.
The lyrics are a separate chapter: I'll just say that verses like "just because i don't care doesn't mean i don't feel, just because i don't believe doesn't mean i don't understand" arrive perfectly on time to complete my 2012 and remind me that in the end, we are all (without bothering Darwin) made of the same things and come from the same places.
