By far the best record of 2011 this new 12'' by the mysterious Abdulla Rashim, an artist from Stockholm who seems to be able to play a significant role within the dark-experimental evolutions that techno has been experiencing in recent years.

The Swedish (?) crafts a harsh and dark journey that ranges from hypnotic and sepulchral voodoo-drone-dark-ambient atmospheres infused with a whole series of visions and subtle details calibrated to the millimeter ("Asayita 1") to syncopated rhythmic deconstructions in 6/4 that also manage to recall the groove science of Jeff Mills in Purpose Maker ("Asayita 3") up to sharp acidisms and soundscapes that, like specters, come and go, following intricate paths and dispensing almost mantra-like tones ("Asayita 2").

Names and references appear, it's also fair to give an idea but, believe it or not, we are faced with an original sound that is not particularly easy to categorize
