Born 7 December 1960 in Tunis, Abdellatif Kechiche is a Tunisian-French film director and screenwriter known for intimate, realist dramas such as La Graine et le mulet (Cous cous) and Mektoub My Love: Canto Uno.

Tunisian-born (1960) and active as a filmmaker in France; directed Blue Is the Warmest Colour (winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival). His work is noted for long takes, close observational style and themes of family and youth.
