"Everything Is Exactly As It Seems" is the debut album by A New Silent Corporation (LINEUP: Mattia Bardin, Stefano Calgaro, Nicola Cioffi, Andrea Grigolato, Filippo Zampese, Alberto Zordan), a group from the Thiene area (province of Vicenza). Purely instrumental post-rock with continuous incursions into electronics, always in search of melancholic and passionate atmospheres, charged with pathos at times, calm and relaxed at other times. Unlike other bands like Port-Royal, where electronics are used upfront, directly building the melodies on which the rhythm part and the guitar are grafted, here it is used more delicately, almost always accompanying the rest of the group in the background.

"TimeDiscipline" opens with radio frequencies in the background that immediately introduce guitar arpeggios in an intensity crescendo that will accompany the track to its conclusion. In "Hiver", electronics are used only marginally at the tail end of the track, almost in a whisper, a final breath. "Will Noise", melancholic keyboard notes accompanied by a syncopated electronic beat, almost underscoring the simplicity of emotions.

The sounds change again in "Reprise" which, even from the title, seems to resume the discourse left suspended with "Will Noise", the keyboard falls silent, the guitar returns to speak of dark and harsh atmospheres, a relentless rhythm until the end where a light arpeggio tempers our sensations and introduces "WOTGG", which in its almost ten minutes delivers us to the final track, still stunned by the notable rhythm and continuous emotional climaxes where relaxed parts suddenly explode into confused and heavy notes.

"Maple" concludes the album as it began, light and delicate arpeggios initially introduce an explosion of distortions that suddenly clear up, decisively.

"Everything Is Exactly As It Seems" is an entirely instrumental composition that never tires, a beckoning to atmospheres widely plundered by other more renowned groups to which this work surely looks, draws inspiration but does not plagiarize. "A New Silent Corporation" doesn't just faithfully reproduce the music and melodies of the Red Sparowes and Explosions In The Sky, just to name some of the bands this album’s atmospheres refer to, but they develop it, making it their own in a completely personal way, sometimes melancholic, at times nervous, dark, depressed.

The pieces that compose the album, despite being exclusively instrumental, refer to apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic literature and science fiction, thereby developing a kind of concept album that reflects, if nothing else, in the dark and suffocating spiral of the atmospheres the themes of Aldous Huxley and George Orwell’s novels (the album's title itself seems to resemble one of the many slogans of Big Brother in the famous novel "1984").

This is a remarkably crafted album, enjoyable, and therefore warmly recommended to all those who love this genre of music, music of class and elegance without compromise, either it moves and reaches the soul in a warm embrace of sensations or leaves one indifferent. Enjoy listening...
