And who are these guys?

We are always attracted to those bands that have created a brand over the years due to their fame, which is not always deserved, see Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot. Many times, there are bands that slip under people's radar but do not get the right consideration because those pulling the strings on the mixers and those who see music on a board by analyzing trends blackmail them into telling them how to make the riff, how the singer should move on stage, or the message that should be conveyed. And the trend rises! One of the clear cases was the Sound, who at the time and even now are not given the proper weight like, for example, Joy Division or at the time and now U2. This LP is also the result of what happened in the early '90s when R.A.T.M. marked a turning point from what was the first funk metal to the future nu-metal. This band is simply called A-D, and there is very little known about them! The packaging is poor, ugly cover with the name printed large on a photo of the four of them staring at you, some with enigmatic expressions, some with threatening looks. The surprises, however, start when you turn the case around and read a name in the bottom right, "Melvin Gibbs," who for the less savy is none other than that big black guy who pounded the bass in the early days of Defunkt and made us bang our heads in "Weight" by Rollins Band. When I put the CD in my esoteric laser device, oh well! The story changes!!! You take one last glance at that cover and then leave the case because you can't keep still, you have to move, yes damn it! It commands you to move from a slight nod to trying to smash a window with the power this work conveys! 12 killer tracks with hip hop vocals over a base of cadenced and powerful riffs, mixed with strong bass tones in the individual instruments that you have to crank up so that the vocals enter your ears and bash your brain with messages! It starts with a devastating track like "Buckshots" and ends with "Deadzone," which seems to say okay, we'll let you decompress, but no!!! We are A-D and we're going to bust your ass!!! Awesome!! The track I love the most is "Threat with intellect" with a hammering chorus!!! Beautiful! And then you understand why they needed someone like Melvin Gibbs behind these four bastards! For those who know them, it'll be a mega dive into the past, but for those who don't and need POWERFUL music without those mushy shitty choruses like Korn's, this is the album for them!! Guys, I recommend it!! It's worth it!!! And screw the trends!!!!!!!!!!
