LA RECENSIONE

"Welcome" is an act of love.
Love from the multi-instrumentalist from Salerno, Vincenzo Lardo (known as 240bpm), for music in general, and for Pink Floyd in particular.

The sounds of the album unmistakably echo the Floydian masterpieces. Nevertheless, it stands on its own, without ever descending into mere cover versions (if you'll permit the term).

It's original, fresh, never banal, catchy and up-to-date; yet well-rooted in the tradition traced by the great Pink Floyd classics.

It's almost as if the author invited the English group to play his original tracks, and the group responded with enthusiasm and dedication. And maybe Alan Parsons lent a hand with the sounds, it's recorded so well.

Give some of your time to listening to "Welcome," perhaps with headphones or, as I often do, in the car. You'll listen to it over and over again, guaranteed.

"Welcome is a real psychedelic journey, a sparkling album full of cues. Not to be missed."

"240bpm manages to make us feel at home by welcoming us into a dystopian world, where emotions are crystallized, metaphysical."
