2 a.m. "The End.The Start"
I believe that the best way to communicate something to others is through music. In ancient times, this term was used to indicate an entertainment tool, whereas today music definitely conveys something more to us.
Days ago, I ventured into listening to the excellent EP "The End. The Start" by 2 a.m. (Andrea Maraschi and Andrea Marcellini, from which the band's name derives), released at the end of October 2011. The record includes seven tracks that range from the deeper and more tranquil ones like "I Cannot Cry" and "Trying", which let us analyze the essence of ourselves, and then move on to the harmonious and relaxing ones like "Format Me" and "Love Me And Leave Me", which drag our imagination to "sail" in a sea of positive and negative thoughts.
If there's one thing I like about these two guys, it's their ability to write songs with simple chord progressions, while their heartfelt and rooted lyrics are able to enrich the clean and linear sounds, thus creating a perfect combination of melody and words. It's interesting to think that each of these songs hides a real story behind it, so that with the right sensitivity and passion, one is able to touch each of them with hand and heart.
A piece of advice I would like to give to these two artists from Marche is to grit their teeth and keep making their way with their talent. Even though it won't be easy in these times, in the end something important will emerge.

It is certainly not a "great album," but a remarkable work, without a doubt. A little gem.
A romantic album, which flows pleasantly on "spacey" and dreamy atmospheres - alternative enough not to risk resembling a certain type of adolescent music.
