10 Years, 10 years... what could it mean? Should I check their website? Nah, I'm not a die-hard fan who needs to know their parents' and children's names, but maybe if I want to be honest, I should at least know where they come from? Okay... I go to the site, open the "Bio" and find out they're from Knoxville... it's all clearer. :-)
From the first lines of the "Bio" they seem quite full of themselves... they obviously didn't write it themselves, but probably some pseudo-producers who don't understand a thing, as the site isn't much.
I open the CD, insert it, PLAY...
Pleasant, far from making me feel emotions at first listen but enjoyable nevertheless, sometimes they mimic Tool, but never excessively, they must have understood well the fate of those bands that even remotely try to resemble those giants. The voice isn't one that stays with you, beautiful, without flaws, but you feel something that doesn't convince you, it's a mix of voices you've already heard (above all Maynard from APC) but I can't say it's copying... dunno...
A record that is wonderfully easy to listen to, without too much reflection but does its job, it's compact, solid. After the second listen you’ll already have some melodies in your head or some nice guitar riff to mimic when -obviously- you're walking and turning around to see that no one is watching... you'll think you're on stage acting crazy.
10 Years... dunno... 10 years... I haven't figured out what they meant... but it's a name I like.
Just one listen and some tracks already get stuck in your head, and you find yourself humming them around the house.
"Wasteland" is the song that more than any has made the album famous, and is considered one of the best of the album.
