I am quite sure of the opposite :D Not to give a negative judgment on Pink Floyd, to be clear, but simply because they are only marginally progressive. The bands that are UNIVERSALLY recognized as EMBLEMATIC of prog are others. For example, if you take a look at the websites that discuss progressive music, often the PF are not even mentioned.
Here’s what I wanted to tell you: I think that PF are one of the groups that have the least to do with progressive, but in fact I said "universally recognized," not "that I think are the most important progressive group." It's everyone else who thinks this! :)
