"Unholy Terror" is the ninth studio album by W.A.S.P., released in 2001 by Metal-Is.

The main theme of the album this time is religion, while in terms of sound, the album does not deviate much from its predecessor "Helldorado". The band boasts the permanent return of the crazy Chris Holmes after a departure lasting about 7 years. His return will be short-lived as he re-leaves the band after the album's release.

"Let It Roar" opens the dances to an album of very remarkable power, Blackie Lawless even after years still manages to deliver a very strong performance, "Hate To Love Me" is already a classic from the band's repertoire, compelling and animalistic. Moving towards "Loco-Motive Man", "Unholy Terror", and the beautiful "Charisma", we arrive at "Who Slayed Baby Jane?" another gem that will make all fans jump for joy until the finale entrusted to "Wasted White Boys".

The album presents the raw and gruesome sound of the early records, without leaving aside the melancholy and maturity that had so characterized the wonderful "The Headless Children". The band moves forward without ever denying its past, unlike many bands, and this is precisely one of their great strengths, even abandoning the grand-guignol spectacles of their beginnings, they manage to release an album like this! This all demonstrates that the passion for music and what they are doing still exists here, without ever being corrupted by the music business loop that has trapped many bands.

My advice is to get this album, you won't easily forget it, one of the best releases of the new millennium.
