Carlo's Storage Room Records (Part 1):
It doesn't matter who Carlo is, and it doesn't matter what the Notwist are now; what matters is knowing that their first album, dated 1991, has nothing to do with their current counterpart. The Notwist releases a metal-infused debut (which is not the same as "petal-infused"), as if J Mascis had dealt with thrash metal; powerful riffs that trigger violent headbanging. Grimy but not too much, although I would have wanted it in spades because certain overly clean sounds clashed within me, it's worth a listen.
