LA RECENSIONE

A great debut for this Neapolitan band. Ten tracks, ten incredible gems. The lyrics by the drummer and arranger Anto "Mesmerizer" ooze anger and are a mix between Blasco, Negramaro, and especially Velvet, an influence that appears more than once in their music—a true compendium of ten years of mainstream rock.

From the subsonic nu-metal of "Rabbiatudine," to the theatrical hardcore style of System Of A Down in "Uomo sull'orlo di una crisi di nervi," to the Bristolian pop rock of "Panna," the electric and acidic twists of "Dionisiaca," the hardness of a ballad like "Play the bell" (the only track in English) that denounces life in their city (Castellamare di Stabia), amidst Camorra and rival gangs, and especially, in the only cover produced by the band, that "Rewind" by Vasco Rossi which, although not straying much from the original in terms of music, spits anger and perversion onto the world.
All flavored by the rocking and slightly off-key voice of the guitarist and frontman Josy, reminiscent of a less "loud-mouthed" Liam Gallagher or Brian Molko. What more can be said? Let's hope someone notices them...
