Cold Smoke Tangerine Dream This album, along with Ash Ra Tempel's debut, is the archetype of the German sound (English blues + American psychedelia + raw German electronics, but already years ahead). If this track, like the other two great jams "Ashes To Ashes" and "Journey Through A Burning Brain," had been made by the more intense Xhol Caravan and the more tripped-out Guru Guru, it would have ended in a mess with scales already "heard before." The Tangerine, however, did not just churn out visionary fluxus bricks, but also created innovative essays of pure psychedelia.
