THE REVIEW

Orquesta del Desierto is the name of the project by 7 important musicians in the Stonerrock scene (Alfredo Hernandez, Dandy Brown, and Mario Lalli) who decide to jointly promote an album of simple acoustic rock, at times as intense as the best pieces by The Cult or Screaming Trees. The self-titled album is beautiful and full of character, with a sweet heart of psychedelic acoustic guitars and venomous percussion, relaxing for the spirit and mind. Sublime alternative Stonerrock influenced by more instrumental genres such as country and ethnic folk typical of the American regions bordering Mexico. It will be an excellent accompaniment to your road or train trips in fascinating areas of the Earth (preferably desert-like) and comforting on cold and dark autumn evenings, to keep you company by the fireplace. Like any acoustic and instrumental album, if listened to under certain psychophysical conditions, however, it can easily be misunderstood and considered tedious in the long run.
