Τα Παιδιά Των Λουλουδιών known to us with the title She Knew No Other Way is a 1973 film directed by the Greek Omiros Efstratiadis and belongs to the crime/thriller genre, very popular in those years, with a nod to soft erotica and drug culture.
The soundtrack is a true gem and is the work of Mike Rozakis, a composer who is also a native of Greece.
The main theme is introduced by the eponymous track, an orchestral funk piece that will be revisited in various forms throughout the album (listen to Erotic Paroxysm, its paroxysmal variant, precisely, and the closing of Scream Of Anguish).
We find an alternation of longer tracks interspersed with delightful fragments (Cafè Groove, Mystical Experience, Pictures On The Wall, Out Of Orbit), a true parade of styles, all united by the common denominator of psychedelia, more or less accentuated.
There are also pieces with a classical flavor (The Wonder Worker, Psychedelic March, Blond Angel), jazz (Supernatural Chase, The Bet), minimal and ambient (The Casino Robbery, Tumble Down The Sand Hill), delicately lysergic (Flower Power).
The music suits the film well and I am sure that all lovers of soundtracks as well as those of psychedelia will find something to satisfy their ears.
I point out the beauty of the protagonist, Maria Vasilliou.
