The queen of pop, after almost three years since the last "Confessions On A Dance Floor," returns with a new single, which will obviously precede a new album.
For someone like me who has never bought Madonna's records and appreciates only a few of her songs (Frozen, Ray Of Light, Don't Tell Me and a few others), I find myself puzzled by this new collaboration. After listening and re-listening to the track multiple times, I came to the conclusion: more could definitely have been done. It's not the worst, but it's not the best either. An almost predictable collaboration with Timbaland, who is everywhere in the world charts (collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Duran Duran, Rihanna, Björk, Jennifer Lopez, and others, up to the most recent "Apologize" with One Republic) and not much more, the song has a very catchy rhythm, as is right for the rhythm of a first single from an album: this collaboration, however, in my opinion, even if it will have worldwide success as only Madonna can achieve, is not complete, I was much more impressed by the power of the song "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado, the power of the bass in that song is impressive.
Moving on to the second character, Justin Timberlake, I have little to say: he is a very talented singer, he will continue to succeed more and more in the music field because he has the necessary talent to do so. The song, however, is quite acceptable: I gave it 3 out of 5 stars even though I would have preferred to give it 3 and a half stars.
Madonna continues her evolution, but we are very far from the wonderful atmospheres of "Frozen," and generally from the album "Ray Of Light," the most successful of Madonna's entire career.
