Raccolgo la notte is such an honest and emotional album, written with the heart, that you must be willing to let it touch your soul, provided you’re not a sleeper who spends day and night on netshit, TikTok, and IG stories. So... lyrics in hand and listen to how dedicated the singer is in INTERPRETING, not, mind you, singing… INTERPRETING and filling every single word with pathos. The voice itself is a moan and a furious scream (depending on the transitions of the tracks) that stands out. A hoarse voice like the best Tom Waits, it is the true protagonist of the album. If you add to this that the musical arrangement emphasizes and adds further pathos to the tracks with its melodies perpetually balancing between folk, country, blues, and edgy rock... Well... we are close to perfection.
