There is a middle ground where Fabrizio Moro seems to have confined himself, isolating him from the success he deserves: his lyrics don't only talk about love, expressing banal concepts like Marco Carta, and perhaps it is precisely this that distances him from the young girls; however, he is too commercial and handsome for the "refined" ones in search of valid singer-songwriters, who fail to realize they have an excellent composer in their hands, and go looking for him elsewhere. And so Moro, well into his Thirties, with a Sanremo victory under his belt with the biting "Pensa," and 3 albums behind him, struggles to achieve the success he deserves and that many others have without having either his artistic flair or his talent.

I had already appreciated several of his previous songs, but I had never dreamed of buying his CD, yet perhaps it was the low price (10 euros without discount) or the mere 6 songs that make up the ep (better few but good than many but all the same, right Liga?) that made me decide to take this gamble: the first track, "Il peggio è passato" is a liberating scream against current society, guilty of not being able to expel those who govern us, but also an exaltation of love that manages to overcome everything wrong that surrounds us: a very beautiful opening; "Sangue nelle vene" is a sweet ballad dedicated to those who live on with a thousand problems and difficulties: some passages seem to concern the artist himself. The ep continues with the tracklist "Barabba", a protest song against the "powerful" with more than one reference to mister B.: the song, perhaps, is one of those I liked the least, also because the lyrics, despite aiming to be sharp, appear superficial and full of preconceptions too "leftist".

"Il senso di ogni cosa", the first single released, of decent success, is a spontaneous declaration of love, which doesn't boast particular originality, but its simplicity in words and melody, well enriched by the use of violins, makes it more than enjoyable.

"Il momento giusto" is the most powerful and rock song on the album: it talks about the future, the difficulties in deciding to change one's life, the hesitations that each of us has: reflective!

The ep closes with "Melodia di giugno", a poignant poem about lost love.

What can I say... the work, though short in duration, spans many fronts: nostalgia for the past, anger for a present that many are ruining for us, and hope for a better future, all connected by a touch of love that is never sappy or sentimental.

I don’t know if it will be successful (which in the end it deserves, but is not essential), if it will oust Ligabue from the top of my personal chart, I only know that since June I have been listening to these 6 simple songs uninterruptedly, and every time they seem to convey something different.

"Barabba is everywhere among us and... there is always a need for someone who, through the magic of music, refreshes our ideas and helps people to open their eyes."

"An anthem to life... to those who fight with clenched fists against a concrete wall and believe that sooner or later it will fall."
