Blur

Extraordinary and somewhat underrated band. They deserve Olympus at least for the 90s. A perfect expression of pop in all its facets, with few missteps in taste and rhythm. Instead, there are many worthy b-sides and hit singles, from the classics "Girls & Boys" and "Song 2" to the moving "Universal" and "Out Of Time," now classics. They didn't invent anything, but they fully realized their art.

Lisa Germano

When Genius is a Woman. To be played for those who consider Radiohead "from another planet." "Geek The Girl" is not the only masterpiece. "On the Way Down From the Moon Palace" and "Excerpts From a Love Circus" are equally remarkable. Shamefully little known and poorly "sold." The total of her albums doesn't even reach 100,000 copies.

Michel Piccoli

He worked with Renoir, Bunuel, Melville, Godard, Costa-Gravas, Resnais, Ferreri, De Seta, Hitchcock, Bellocchio, Malle, De Oliveira, Skolimowski, Ruiz, Rivette, Iosseliani, Angelopoulos, Moretti. If he were a mediocre actor, the collaborations with the greatest directors would be enough to make him great. But he is great on his own, he is Michel Piccoli. Underrated and too little awarded.

Roberto Vecchioni

A good man who does his job well, without shame and without praise. Thanks to the general mediocrity of Italian music, he even manages to stand out as a Maestro.

Tricarico

Between Barrett, Repetto, Battisti, and Gianni Rodari. The only true (un)aware outsider of Italian music, suspended in a limbo: too musically simple to be taken seriously by the "indie" scene, too alienated for the Sanremo pop spotlight (which regularly sends him home before the end).

A great, sadly famous only for "Play". An artist of unique depth and sensitivity. A few not-so-great albums and some slips into bad taste do not tarnish his compositional worth.
