I've never been able to categorize them: I don't know if that's a good thing or not. In any case, a few decent albums, a few good songs here and there, and even some pleasant remixes. On their side is the fact that they've never relied on a major label, by choice. Enjoyable (with a caveat).

Foo Fighters

Over time, I've realized that they have been a constant in my listening habits. A likable group that gives their best in their hit singles. 5 points of respect for the good Grohl (who has put together some pretty good side projects), a bit less for the musical side. P.S.: The story of music in the episodic TV series Sonic Highways is worth half a career.
