For me, the best emo band of that time. I find The Power of Failing to be superior even to the best works of Sunny Day Real Estate.

The more astute will remember them for Clarity, the rest of the world will remember them for Bleed American. I, however, also remember them for that gem with strong dark hues from Futures. After that, their productions started to decline a bit, but still remained at decent levels. The latest, Damage, seems a bit thrown together, almost like they wanted to clock in and say "we're here too." Their live performances are always excellent, and Adkins is a lord from another time.

I have never been able to explain to myself the reason for such success.

BESTIAL is the first definition that comes to mind when I think of them and their early albums. LD 50 can still be put on today. Too bad that afterward they lost their way a bit and then dissolved into low-quality side projects.

Until Ballate per Piccole Iene, it was still decent (albeit far from the glories of the beginnings), after the worst of the worst: at times unlistenable.

They put a damn anxiety on me. Those few albums that have made everything indispensable.

Two superb discs, one modest. But how on earth did they slam!

Through ups and downs, they remain a constant to rely on.
