What can you do, Thunder, just let it go ;)

For a long time, I wanted to write this review, but then I let it go because there’s really little to say. You're right when you say that fans were expecting something different. The early days are far behind us, with incredible things made from the self-titled album "Godsmack" in 1998 up until "Faceless" in 2003; then, from "IV" onward, it’s been a decline. Erna is and remains a top performer, while Tony Rombola seems a bit lackluster for quite some time now. It's also a terrible idea to place the super single "Whiskey Hangover" only in the CD/DVD version, basically saying, either buy everything or nothing. While I’ve bought their entire discography, this The Oracle will be the exception, even though "Cryin' Like A Bitch" rocks!

Alright, if they release an album in October that's even 80% like Comfort In Sound, I'll forgive them ;)

Hi Grant, I’ve listened to the latest effort from our band. First of all, I would like to say that I wasn’t too happy about the choice to make an album that basically revisits all the tracks from the Renegades EPs, sprinkled with a handful of new songs, especially since they are set to release a new album in October. It’s true that the sound is more alternative rock and harder (still far from their early days as you rightly pointed out), but it gives me the impression of an incomplete album, well-played but with gaps in terms of melody; the vocal bases often seem a bit forced and lack the naturalness found in ā€œSilent Cryā€ and ā€œEcho Park,ā€ albums that I consider far superior to this one. To cut a long story short, I think they have ventured into something that doesn’t suit them perfectly; I might be wrong, but that’s my impression. Tracks like ā€œHomeā€ and especially ā€œThis Townā€ are insufficient. Ironically, ā€œRenegadesā€ comes across as the most fitting track, which in my opinion should raise concerns about the album’s level. I’ll listen more closely, but I give it a meager 7, hoping for a more 'serious' album in October. Review, as always, written brilliantly :)

No, I don’t find them disgusting, Over My Head is among my favorite tracks by the band... I just think that in my opinion All Killer No Filler has something more, more innovative and refreshing, but I don’t know, just personal opinions ;)

It’s already a serious mistake to confuse A.N.I.C. with Asshole, a grave error... definitions such as "Mazzi e cazzi finchè non stramazzi" are of an entirely different level, robust pearls of wisdom that are indispensable in a review.

I don't even consider the review... the album is nice, nothing more. Being pioneers of pop-punk is serious, especially after an album like All Killer No Filler had somehow set them apart for its hip hop interludes and a sound that's a bit rougher compared to their later works.
Korn Korn III: Remember Who You Are

There's little to be done; first of all, it's worth noting that when working with people like Ross Robinson (where there's Roadrunner, there's him), the results are almost always the same. I haven't fully listened to the album yet, but I must say it feels a bit flat, although not bad in quality. At this point, I definitely prefer the 'cacophonies' of "Untouchables," which I actually enjoyed, or the lightness and melodies of "Untitled." It seems true; this album feels like "Take A Look In The Mirror 2." The review seems a bit too harsh and negative to me, but the reasoning is more than valid.

Hi Tobby, yes, the production level is what it is; just listen to the guitars in "it's not the end..."—if you turn the volume up a bit too much, it sounds terrible! However, I don’t believe that in the future there will be a 360° turnaround, nor even a 180° one... this is what they are, and we’ll have to accept it. I didn't go to see them in February, and I’m glad I didn’t, as the concert was objectively rated mediocre. They said they’ll be back in Italy very soon, so maybe I’ll consider it, hoping for a nice performance, and not just the three or four cool songs to make the girls swoon... we’ll see, until next time!!!
