Alter Bridge AB III
Voto:
A classic from an Alter Bridge album, it really needs to be listened to several times. My initial impression is positive, but nothing that remarkable.

Good review... Schizoid, can I give 1 star to the album without ever having heard it? Just to honor the traditions of Debaser.it, nothing else... let me know.

Yes, I can agree with you, those little assholes who at 19 thought they had already figured everything out about life, pretty stupid, even though "Chelsea Smile" from the album "Suicide Season" rocks! ;9

The cover annoys me because it reminds me of the TV show with the most pointless ending in television history.

PS: Bennington is a burned-out genius who sold his ass, and that's serious. I have no qualms about saying that one like him can come out every five years, yet...

I understand your point of view, but with the utmost effort, I can't fully agree; let me explain why: okay, the previous album was a halfway mix, like saying "don't abandon us, it's still us," and at the same time, they wink at pop/rock. I agree that Bennington/Shinoda can do 'other things' (I believe more Bennington than Shinoda), but regarding the current quality of the album, I can't agree: first of all, let's talk about 15 tracks that are actually 9, among which we find 2 hip hop songs that I think are objectively mediocre, along with the tunz-tunz (which sometimes I even enjoy listening to!) of "The Catalyst," the cheap rhythm of "Blackout" that I find on the Fifa 11 tracklist, and the radio pop of "Burning In The Skies." The rest is, in my opinion, simply crap. As for the fact that so far they've been 'working' with incompetent people, that's true: with a guitarist who claims to have grown up with Metallica (and who noticed?), a drummer who is the stepson of Aerosmith's drummer (did you catch that?), and a philosopher bassist (in fact, he thinks instead of playing). I would only save DJ Hahn, who has also done some great work directing music videos up until 2003; I remember the Grammy for directing the video "Crawling," then he got fed up too.

Schizoid, perhaps you didn't understand that no one is thinking about you! I wasn't referring to you, I don’t even read your comments anymore! ;)

Very interesting live, much of the credit goes to the setlist. However, this is stuff that the ignorant, prejudiced individual cannot judge because by immediately linking the band to MTV, they are doing 1+1 too hastily. I’ve read names of bands like "Orchid" and others, in short, it's like saying: "Today I don’t want pasta with sauce, I prefer a little espresso with liquor." WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH IT!!! And then how can you judge something you haven’t even listened to, like someone watching the live of a band they can’t stand, come on, this is pure hypocrisy.

Since you liked this album, I recommend "Other Side EP" by Godsmack, a very interesting acoustic EP, as well as the tracks "Voodoo," "Voodoo Too," and "Hollow," also by Godsmack.
