Vol. 3 let’s leave it where it is because it’s a badass album, the melancholic parentheses of "Fall Into Sleep" and "Happy?" are incredibly cool, even though if the latter had been made by the old L.Park everyone would have said it sucks. I still need to digest the tougher tracks, but I think we’re talking about a pretty solid little record. The cover fully conveys the sense of disorientation, anger, but also the nonchalance of staring blankly at a hurricane.

Premised on the fact that I am a fan of Kennedy and especially Tremonti, I believe there is much to say about this album, both positive and negative. I agree that "our guys" wanted to add a touch of maturity to the album, but what was lost in the process was simplicity. I find some forced elements a bit hard to digest, like in tracks such as "All Hope Is Gone" and "Coeur D'alene." There are, however, interesting attempts in other songs, like in the title track "Slip In The Void," but it lacks the impact of stronger pieces from the past. I believe they have nonetheless started a downward trajectory; overall, I consider it a good album but nothing exceptional.
