Metallica & The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra S & M

@BARTLEBOOM: to say that "absolute Metal" is dead is bullshit; it's sad to see hundreds of people at live shows still shouting for Iron Maiden during any band's concert. With all due respect to Dickinson, Harris, and the gang (whom I truly appreciate, especially their latest "The Final Frontier"), it's really a RETROGRADE attitude to be the "average Metalhead," you know, the one who thinks... "Metallica until Master Of Puppets, then enough," the one who hasn't even listened to the latest "Death Magnetic." My 5/5 rating for this album, for those who still haven't understood, was also meant to be a slap in the face to that kind of outdated mentality.

Donnie, I appreciate your attempt to make the tone of the review more serious, but what can we do!

It's a pity that no one has left a comment on Kerry King so far; obviously, this also means that a good portion of you haven't even read the review. However, feel free to express your thoughts, even nonsense! @CPT Gaio: among the various inaccuracies of "I hate Metallica since '90," there is one truth, which is that the shift is driven by the desire to expand one's success. As for the rest, "And Justice For All" is from 1988, not '89, and the term 'Average Metalhead'—the mere thought that there could be a diversification of Metal (classic listener, 'average' one, modern)—confirms the first lines I wrote, and that makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Let's hope for the best; I’m hoping for some illustrious collaborations, why not a Chris Martin, a Nicholas Grant, or people like Stereophonics or Radiohead... now it's time to stop dreaming.

I completely agree with your point of view, great review but a bit too bloody.

Ok Grant, I personally wasn't referring to the stars, but to words that are too sweet for a disc like this. Anyway, everyone has their own point of view; from the third review that came out about this record, an even more critical and harsh observation than mine can be inferred, so...

Tori! Anyway, thanks for the tip, as soon as I have time I'll give that record we talked about a listen ;)

Alright, be careful not to fall into the usual anti-Oasis rhetoric; this is a record to listen to as background music, nothing extraordinary but acceptable.

Good but too many sweet words, we have two slightly different points of view, the former Oasis in my opinion have revealed themselves for what they are, nothing exceptional.
