The Cure Songs Of A Lost World

In my opinion, it was a great comeback, regardless of what one may or may not personally like.

Yours is the first review I've read in months since my last visit!
I appreciate your insight, very emotional and from a true fan.
I agree with much of the content, but personally, I'll wait for the Deluxe edition, which I'm almost sure will be released next year (Mike Shinoda, besides being a great producer and rapper, is also quite a clever one ;))
I also believe that in these 33 minutes there’s almost the best this band could do, with historical strengths and some limitations (the bass continues to be a filler, but it has always been that way).
When giving a score, it must be relative to the context; in the case of Linkin Park, the context ranges from Metal to pop, and this album has good and varied tracks.
Casualty doesn't really blow me away (I preferred War from The Hunting Party), but overall, everything works, controversies aside.

I'm finishing listening to it now. I'm pleasantly surprised. And then 73 minutes for 17 tracks... Stuff from another time. I'm satisfied with the purchase, but for now, I can't say much else besides that I agree with your analysis.

Eddie Vedder Earthling
Voto:
I believe that no musician, especially one like Vedder, deserves a rushed listen and judgment. Alas, however, after listening to the first tracks, I wasn't convinced to buy the album and therefore listen to it calmly. There’s something I like but something that doesn’t quite convince me. For now, I’m taking my time.
*I liked several tracks from Gigaton quite a bit.

Basically, I agree. Boilermaker I believe was produced with Josh Homme, it’s a killer track. Overall, the pop songs are far superior to those of bands like Imagine Dragons, in their "flatness" of another level. As for the album, I round up for excess.

A record to listen to, purchased with satisfaction. I agree with almost everything in your review (indeed lengthy, but I did even worse years ago.) There’s less and less of Led Zeppelin in the album, give it a listen. Maybe they can do even better, waiting to see them live opening for Metallica.
The Killers Pressure Machine
Voto:
It's definitely the comeback we needed after "Imploding The Mirage" (the only one of theirs I don't have in my collection) and which I believe was, by far, the worst work of their career. I'm trying to process this one; I think I will buy it, although it might be a bit too much Cash, Springsteen, and all the apotheosis of USA heartland rock. But that's how The Killers are, and in these times, I would hold on to them tightly.

I like them; I had heard something and I read an interview with them in Rockerilla just about this album. I'll listen as soon as I'm in the mood for this kind of music. Nice review.

I don't find it beautiful or analytical to review an album on the very day of its release. This summer, I listened to a couple of singles and I didn't mind them, I'll consider the purchase.
