Jaco Pastorius Jaco Pastorius

R.I.P. Jaco: the best ever!
P.S. I only have this album, but it seems to me that it was the second one..!? Wasn't there one released the previous year titled simply 'Jaco'? I could be mistaken; I'll leave the answer to those who know The One and Only better.
Pantera Cowboys From Hell

..even though I must say that I actually didn't mind Cemetery Gates....
Pantera Cowboys From Hell
Voto:
sorry, but Pantera have always just annoyed the hell out of me... maybe it's because I've always found P. Anselmo irritating, maybe it's because I’ve always seen them as a bad copy of Sepultura (Arise, Chaos..) but that's how it is. I should also say that, with the exception of Sepultura, I've never been very fond of these sounds, even though I've been listening to metal forever... I'll take note, though.

a beautiful review (to say the least). An utterly awful album..
Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory
Voto:
Dear guys (especially downtown and Attilio - who continues to dispense wisdom in snippets... even if he has dramatically forgotten to mention Pink Floyd when talking about innovators... ;-)
I was saying, just out of mere curiosity, what do you think of Fates Warning (if you have an opinion, of course)? I ask you this because in some ways they are certainly comparable in terms of sound to DT (at least not to the last, dreadful, Train of Thought), and they have always suffered from the comparison and - in my opinion - quite unjustly. After all, the so-called prog-metal was born with them in 1988, although it was DT, for better or worse, who brought it to a worldwide audience.
Neurosis The Eye Of Every Storm

michelino.. do it! You won't regret it, guaranteed :-D
As for me, today I've decided that I'm going to buy it for myself...
Fiona Apple When The Pawn...
Voto:
I know for sure that at the time a music video was filmed for 'Limp' (which is indeed part of this album, and is also one of the best tracks); maybe he's referring to this. I've never seen it.
Anathema A Fine Day To Exit
Voto:
Yes, um... right! In fact, I wrote it myself, and then I messed up with the browser and forgot my name, email address, etc.
Well... can you, de-baser owners, correct AR-anonimo with the right name? de-tenghiu ;-)

Oh no, come on! It’s not fair to review an album just 5 days after its release... (ahem, I wanted to do it myself, to be honest). But at least give me time to buy/listen to it, for crying out loud...
Nice review though, well-written and heartfelt. They are absolutely amazing, imho!
As for this album, once I get my hands on it, I'll let you know.
