Listening to "The Unseen" again, I am even more convinced that jazz is the key element of the album. I think "The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas" is a work of experimentation, not entirely comparable to the previous one... I must say I prefer it to "The Unseen"...

Do you even realize what you’re saying??? Your arguments about 50 Cent are more than sensible, and yes, I completely agree with them (except for the criticisms of his music, which I don't mind that much)...
But here you are only evaluating a tiny and insignificant part of the entire rap landscape, probably the one you’ve encountered through MTV, (i.e., the gangsta-commercial)... trust me, the real underground rap, the true, pure one, in all its incredible varieties, is a whole other thing...
So don’t generalize stupidly... you might offend someone...

mmh personally I think that Mobb Deep haven't experienced many of the situations they describe in their albums firsthand, even though, yes, they grew up in a hostile environment... let's not forget that the two met while attending the prestigious High School of Art and Design in Manhattan...
