I honestly hate progressive. That's exactly why I love Mars Volta. They've found a "different" way to do progressive. Anyway, it doesn't mean that those who love progressive will love them. It's rather impure and skewed. In fact, thinking about it, this is NOT progressive. In the end, who cares? They are gigantic. That's all that matters.

I don't really like the review. However, I defend those who defend the vibes. Let me explain: saying that a successful band sucks is the dumbest equation that exists. Unfortunately, it is a product of a snobbery (or strabismus?) that often willingly accompanies the aspirations of alternativism. Please, let’s grow up. I don't love the vibes, but in my own small way, I'm happy and I prefer them to sell rather than DJ Francesco. They make pop rock, and it's not even that refined, true. But they are trying. And more than decently (a couple of tracks from the old CD weren't bad at all, overall).
I don't believe those who say that prejudices don’t come into play. Prejudices always come into play. And in music, even more so.
Then saying "you’ve dirtyied the site" is not only aristocratic, it's almost dictatorial.
I dissociate myself and I apologize. Not on behalf of the site, because I have almost nothing to do with it. I dissociate myself in my own name.

Well, I don’t know. I’m sorry, anyway. :D

Uhm... It depends. I've seen him 3 times, of which two were great live shows and once he was pretty terrible. So I wouldn't know...
Ska-P Incontrolable (En Directo)

Ska-P are fun for the first couple of listens. After that, they reveal their limitations. Their tendency to write embarrassingly simplistic and cliché lyrics (the same kind of cliché that’s right-wing, in the end), to make songs that are truly WAY too long for their abilities, with the same structures [skaskaska, drawn-out chorus, slow variation, buildup, chorus until the ears are worn out], all these things soon lead to their well-deserved end: on the shelf above the stereo, gathering dust.

I also believe that the little Canadian, under the layers of plastic they put on her, has talent. I just think she doesn't know how to channel it. Also, once I read an interview where she talked about her musical tastes. Still too basic, in some ways, and there you can partly explain the solutions that have been heard a thousand times, like distortions galore, etc. However, to criticize her just because she sells is pretty silly.
Anyway, the Interpol are cool. :D

I know I may come off as snobbish, but after the singles, I really don’t feel like giving them any chance. I’m sorry. [anyway it was plastico-lesbiche, not plastiko-lescbiche]
