Wonderful CD that I was listening to just yesterday. Excellent choice of derecensione, monsieur!

So. I'm neither for overly dissected criticisms nor for exaggerated praises. I simply believe that the Afterhours have made a significant misjudgment on two different fronts: who is this English CD for? Certainly not for Italians, who I believe quite rightly prefer to hear their own language, for the simple reason that when you sing in your own language, the communication flows more and feels much more natural. Using languages other than your own makes sense in terms of exploration (see also what Scisma sometimes did). If the declared intent is: we want to break into the world, it doesn't seem that interesting for an audience not in the world, but in Italy. So is the CD for the world (aka USA)? Bah, I doubt that as well: most Americans will remain completely unaware of the Afterhours and, all things considered, whoever listens to them may only think: "Oh, well, rock the way we do, these guys mimic it pretty well. If only this guy didn't have that Don Vito Corleone accent..."
The problem, in my opinion, is wanting to fight on someone else's turf. It would have been REALLY courageous to grow a pair and try to conquer the world with what you've always done; to take the "ballate" (and not the more pandering "ballads") and throw them in Miss America's face, saying: oh, look, we also do those little things, and when it goes our way, even better than you! And if you don't understand the words, screw it, you'll do like us, since Elvis and down, we go by feel!!

Actually about twenty. Thirty-two for the gallery. What costs is the theater. Do you have any idea how much it costs just to see a show in the theater?

Genius and crazy. I was just a wee lad when I decided to listen to "this famous Zappa," and alas, I started with this! :°D
