AA.VV. Rockstar - The Soundtrack
Voto:
The film was nothing exceptional, but the gossip surrounding it is quite charming. The best one is definitely the story about Zakk Wylde slapping Jason Bonham twice for being arrogant. Legendary Zakk.
Iced Earth Burnt Offerings
Voto:
I have always believed that Iced Earth was a band with a great singer stifled by the obtuseness of a despotic leader (Jon Schaffer), who forced Barlow to sing in the same registers without allowing him to unleash as he should have. Result = an overrated band.
Meshuggah Nothing
Voto:
A great group that has evolved certain ideas of thrash and brought them into the future. I’ve seen them live twice, and both times I left the venue with a look that was somewhere between astonished and shocked. Additionally, at a Meshuggah concert, you can find a diverse audience that you usually don't see at a metal show. The album in question doesn’t quite reach Destroy Erase Improve, but it's close.
Helloween Rabbit Don't Come Easy
Voto:
Four is definitely too much; among the chapters with Deris, my favorite is definitely "The Time of The Oath."
For Ale79: remember "Helloween" and not "Halloween."
Zakk Wylde Book Of Shadows
Voto:
The album in question showcases the more bucolic side of the artist Wylde, putting in the background his brutal and heavy attitude, an isolated episode in the discography of the blond guitarist, although in the Black Label Society album "The Blessed Hellride" there are some passages that may remind one of this album. Excellent review for an excellent record.
Hammerfall Glory To The Brave
Voto:
Don't mistake this record for essential; take aim at the red cross, but don't call it essential. It's merely nice and ends up being laughable due to the excessive retro flavor of certain postures and attitudes.
Kreator Endorama
Voto:
It's a bit of a long read but definitely high-level. The album in question is my favorite by Kreator, which, of course, due to those dolts who can't listen to anything different from what they already know, flopped commercially and, alas, forced Kreator to go back on their steps. The above is written by someone who has loved both Extreme Aggression and Coma of Souls, and the fact that I know how much the early productions of Mille and Co. have sparked curiosity for a fabulous album. I must say that I haven't listened to it in years, but I promise to do so right away.
Death Angel The Art Of Dying
Voto:
It could have been a great group, then stopped by a bad accident. Their return to the spotlight could have been better; they went from being one of the best acts of the '90s to a group of sidemen in the 2000s. I saw them live and they are still a force of nature.
Angra Angels Cry
Voto:
Beautiful album, I also believe that it hasn't changed the history of music as stated in the review, but when it was released, it had the merit of drawing the audience's attention to power metal. I'm not a big fan of the proposed genre, but I'm sure there would be German bands ready to sell their own mothers even today just to produce an album like this.
Burzum Filosefem
Voto:
Terrible review, stuffed with spelling and grammatical errors (and horrors). An album below the average of what Burzum has produced. No offense intended: please avoid publishing reviews of such a low standard.
