Incubus Serpent Temptation
Voto:
So I wasn't remembering wrong. A group well below average, not to say poor. I'm not familiar with the album in question, but I believe I have the vinyl of "Beyond..." in some box, a mediocre record.
Incubus Serpent Temptation

But aren't they the same Incubus from "Beyond the unknown"?
The Locust Plague Soundscapes
Voto:
Schizophrenic and difficult to digest record. An explosive mix of electronics, noise (in its most caustic form), grind, and hardcore. An ignoble and scandalous review.
Sieges Even The Art Of Navigating By The Stars
Voto:
Compared to the bands you mentioned, I have always considered Sieges Even to be closer to a certain techno thrash than to "classic" prog metal.
Paradise Lost Draconian Times
Voto:
By "affini" I meant related to the English "gloomy" scene. I am aware that they are different bands, but they have always been regarded as the sacred triad of English doom/death and then gothic metal.
Paradise Lost Draconian Times
Voto:
Perhaps the pinnacle of their production (along with Icon). It’s true that Holmes’ timbre resembles Hetfield’s, but I find Holmes to be much, much more expressive. Paradise Lost has always had one flaw: I’ve seen them live twice, and they disappointed me both times. It is true that the type of music they play is difficult to reproduce live (not obviously from an instrumental point of view), but related bands like Anathema or My Dying Bride are much more impactful, incisive, and emotional live.
Bolt Thrower Those Once Loyal
Voto:
Average record for an average band. The best remains "Warmaster". A note on the review style: it's not necessary to include translations of the song titles.
Rage Welcome To The Other Side
Voto:
I won't vote for the album because I haven't listened to it yet, but Rage, after gems like "Black in Mind" and "End of All Days" (and a bit also XIII), have always struggled on a compositional level, failing to create the anthems that made them "unique" in the crowded German scene.
Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force Unleash The Fury
Voto:
After the flop of "Attack," the worst-produced CD in Malmsteen's rich discography, the Swedish musician slightly recovered, but I believe that his last great album is "Facing the Animal" (where an underrated Mats Leven sings). After this, he has produced flat records, lacking that verve that has always characterized him.
Black Label Society Mafia
Voto:
Zakk, one of the few virtuosos of the instrument who prefers feeling over pure show-off onanism. Moreover, one of the most "putrid" people I've ever seen; I think his testament demands a funeral with rivers of beer and free burping... I saw them live in the Netherlands in 1998 (one of their first live outings) and I believe I've never seen anyone drink as much beer and spit like a llama as the good Zakk. Of course, after knocking Jason Bonham out backstage at the movie Rockstar, he becomes even more of an idol...
