I consumed Tales. At that time, I loved the sacred English triad, and these Finnish lads were a great alternative. I also adored Elegy, enhanced by the voice of Pasi Koskinen, an underrated vocalist who, in my opinion, is brilliant... and I also believe he’s as mad as a hatter (I think he’s with those cheerful folks from Shape of Despair now). By then, Tuonela no longer had that innovative approach, and so I lost them along the way. I’ve listened to some live performances with the new Tomi Joutsen, and they continue to be very good, no longer "original" but still good.

I was very little attracted to it. After reading your (always excellent) review, I'm even less attracted to it. Plus, I've always found the Swedish guy really wooden; much better the father and even the brother.

What memories! I would fall asleep at night listening to Radio Radicale in the 90s with those recordings that seemed to come from other planets. I also remember well-known figures like er trivella.

Up until Issue, there was a reason for them. Even the path of totality intrigued me for a while. Nowadays, with the recent productions, they bore me to death. Maybe it’s age; a lot of things bore me.

I still need to see it. I haven’t always appreciated Miike, but I’ve always considered Audition to be excellent.
Ps: "In this case, there is nonetheless space, at the end of the carnage, of misery, of greed and the twilight of honor, for a note of positivity and poetry." Something feels off with the punctuation, but maybe it’s just because it’s Sunday and it’s 6 in the morning.

I really like what I've heard. I would love for them to be even more desperate, like the blinding light.

I admit I only know Solar Lovers by them. I remember it as a great alternative to the gloomy sound of the holy English triad. I also admit that it’s been ages since I last listened to it. I'll give it another spin. Good job, great suggestion.

And nothing, we're already riding the hype of Zerocalcare.
Anyway, I laughed.
I remember them being very crude and Australian... I also remember the issue of coprophagia.
