Kreator Gods Of Violence
Voto:
Starting from the assumption that I've always preferred "American" thrash to "Teutonic," I admit that Kreator are my favorites of the sacred German trinity (I’ve always stopped at Sodom, Kreator, and Destruction).
I've always considered Sodom too raucous to be truly evil and Destruction too explicit to be genuinely sinister; only Kreator have that "malevolent" mood.
I must also admit that my favorite Kreator albums are Endorama (I believe I’m among the few who appreciated it) and Extreme Aggression.
I abandoned them after Violent Revolution, feeling betrayed for taking the path of revival and not taking risks with the "experiments" of Endorama.
Anyway, I’ll try to listen to something... for now, I’m only stuck at the single.

I remember streetcleaner... which I haven't listened to in ages. I played it back then, but I absolutely don't recall it. I remember it being "difficult" to absorb, but that's a typical trait of the genre... I must have a vinyl of Submit by Pitchshifter at home... same parish, right?

I had a lot of fun reading... you surely less ^^'
I always forgot them quickly to seek refuge in the torrid desert of Kyuss
I believe I'll avoid it!
Anathema The Optimist
Voto:
If I have to make a cold, cynical, and ruthless ranking of their respective productions, I would say:
Early career: 1 Paradise Lost 2 My Dying Bride 3 Anathema
Today: 1 Anathema 2 Paradise Lost 3 My Dying Bride
In summary, Anathema are the ones aging the best, the new direction of PL doesn’t seem sincere to me (but still, the albums are good), and the same goes for MDB (the albums are less good).
These three bands had an incredible importance for certain sounds between 1993 and 1995: Anathema with Serenades/Pentecost/The Silent Enigma, PL with Icon/Draconian Times, and MDB with Turn Loose the Swans/The Angel and The Dark River.
That said, I’ll listen to this new one as soon as I can.
PS: @[De...Marga...] did I say nonsense?
Various Artists Masters Of Misery - Black Sabbath: The Earache Tribute
Voto:
I don't have a great memory of this album; I remember Nativity in Black better. It had War Pigs done by FNM and Black Sabbath by TON, which were enough to justify the purchase. I thought I was one of the few who cared about Confessor^^'

Is orcchiabilità like orchitis?
Fortunately, I lost track of them after the first album... I didn't even know they had done anything else after that infamous meteor!
Quote: "3 of the biggest bands of the last decade on the same stage" those who forget are complicit.
Litfiba Trilogia 1983 - 1989 Live 2013
Voto:
I quote @[Pinhead]: open your eyes all your life. The Litfiba have been boring me for many years now, and I never go beyond the production from 1990.

The last album I listened to was Masquerade, it wasn't bad if I remember correctly. Nothing transcendental but a decent Krukko album. I've always considered them lesser compared to Helloween and (even though they came later) Blind Guardian. I don't think I'll ever listen to this one again.
Alice in Chains Dirt

The best of the entire grunge season.
