Portishead Third
Voto:
This review is really awful; when I read about the supposed jazz references of "silence," I could only laugh. With this album, Portishead revisit the classic sounds of trip hop, adapting them to a context that is decidedly less easy, heavily borrowing at times from the typically alienating sounds of the best Velvet Underground (Nylon Smile, for example). This makes for a very interesting album, but definitely not a 5-star one.

Absolutely agree with the author of the review, I found Fleurs 3 a fantastic album, but this one really seemed forced to me.
Pink Floyd Pulse

The worst live performance by Pink Floyd. But they are and will always be my favorite band, and no matter what the know-it-alls say, The Division Bell in some ways represents an ideal career conclusion (High Hopes evokes the image of a sunset). Therefore, this live performance taken from The Division Bell tour has nothing exceptional except for the audio quality and the session musicians involved; for the rest, there's little magic, a desire for redemption compared to Waters, but we are far from the days of Live at Pompeii.

Oh no, PEOPLE OF ITALY, things are not quite like that. Martin Hannett, as a producer, deserves credit for bringing some sounds into the Joy Division albums, but this happened with the ACTIVE participation of the entire band, which has always been open to this kind of innovation. Even if we were to consider just the ones you mentioned, their influences would be enough to justify certain sonorities (There’s a certain Brian Eno in Roxy Music, and the Joys are more or less contemporaries with the Berlin trilogy of the Duke...)

I'm not in the mood to read the moon. The record is good but not their best episode.

The masterpiece by Joy Division. I reviewed it some time ago and not very well. However, I don't like this review beyond that "distorted bass," as you call it, which I just can't stand (as far as I remember, Peter Hook doesn't use a distortion pedal on this album, and if the reference is purely musical, I would have appreciated the definition of a pulsating bass more). I also find the review quite inadequate as it doesn't talk in detail about the masterpieces that make up the album but insists on making an emotional analysis, which might be appreciated but is too redundant and self-serving.

I have to say that I miss this record and I need to make up for it. Good review.

all that she wants. Weren't they the Ace of Base? And don't you feel ashamed reviewing them?
