Jarrett is that musician whom all pianists, European and otherwise, look up to with endless admiration. Certainly a great musician, but I am too attached to Monk's lesson and this type of pianism appeals to me a bit less. I don't know the album, but the review is well done.

I would say "sopravvissuti e sopravviventi" is a good album, definitely more "intimate" compared to the other works, with the music box ballerina standing out above all.

The rating for the album would be 2.5, which I really couldn't round up to 3. The review gets a 3 because it's very personal and heartfelt, but it is definitely too long and at more than one point it gets a bit boring.

But as I already told you, I can easily justify the references. I took the nin, for example, as a reference solely for the very industrial and heavy bluebirds drum that can sometimes remind one of downward spiral. Anyway, the fact that only you commented is more a sign that it's, alas, a little-known album, and that's a real shame.

Absolutely, yes, and I can justify the comparisons, many of which I specifically mentioned to be taken with a grain of salt. In any piece, there can be distant references that one can perceive. Or dear Tarzan, do we want to view music in isolated compartments?
