Not that the Emersons drive me crazy, but hats off to what they have meant, even though to be honest there is much better in the progressive scene in terms of quantity and quality. The review tries too hard to be descriptive of the musical moment, without engaging.

I find your nickname fantastic and your review mediocre. Furthermore, I don’t agree (though this doesn’t affect my judgment) with calling "Ghost" a piece as spectral as you say (beyond the title). I wonder if you still exist on this site or how old you were in 2004. Anyway, I'm going through an acute Japan phase. They are amazing, this album is an absolute masterpiece, for me one of the best albums of the '80s. The refinement of the arrangements, a blend of Eastern, pop, new wave, and electronic sounds, and Sylvian’s voice is an added value. Not to mention Mick Karn's powerful bass, the true driving force of the entire band, a bassist with balls of steel. This album has no weak points or minor key tracks; there are peaks but never deep valleys. 6 stars if possible.
King Crimson Roma alla Corte del Re Cremisi

I saw the concert in Rome, an incredible performance. A huge wall of sound, notes in the crescendos (Sailor's tale, Lark's tongues in aspic part II, Starless) that felt like they wanted to explode into a thousand pieces. Gavin Harrison was a real added value, powerful and tireless (monstrous!!!!), while Mastelotto took a different approach, aiming to further enrich (and strengthen) the sound. Levin is always a guarantee, whether it's bass, electric double bass, or stick; as for the king, there are no words to describe him live. Aside from everything, what amazes about King Robert is the incredible clarity of sound and the optimal execution of every phrase. Never a solo from him, but accompaniments worthy of a true prima donna. An unrepeatable concert.

I haven’t listened to this one from Chilly, even though I’ve had it on my potential listening list for a while. Until now, I’ve focused on Gonzales the rapper, which goes without saying that he knows his stuff. I love this multifaceted artist, being a rapper, a classical pianist, a session musician (like with Daft Punk). Have you seen the tutorials on legendary rock tracks made by Chilly?
Can Soon Over Babaluma

Too often CAN are identified with Tago Mago. While this album is a masterpiece with very few equals in the history of rock, the rest of their production is no less. Soon Over Babaluma is, for me, one of the most underrated albums in the history of rock because it is a masterpiece. "Come sta, la luna" is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard and is worth the purchase by itself.

I know it’s not the best thing to write in a review by a user named egebamyasi, but in a way, with all due proportions, Tuxedomoon are the CAN of the 80s, if only for their need to push the bar ever so slightly higher. For this reason, I expected five stars from you! Because it’s an album that, in its continuous ability to surprise the listener, has a unique common thread: the music is truly beautiful. And when it’s possible to merge experimentation and the quality of music in such an incredibly joyful way, the result always carries the connotations of a miracle. Half Mute is that—a miracle. This debut album goes far beyond even the rosiest expectations.

It's undeniably a bold album, and frankly, I find it pleasantly better than Fetus and Pollution. I believe that the four or five years of experimentation have reached a certain underlying maturity here. It’s true that it's not an album for every day; it’s challenging, it's heavy, and it’s also pretentious. But some tracks like Ethika fon Ethica and Propiedad prohibida have that special something that captivates me.
