Daft Punk Random Access Memories
Voto:
I listened to it in the last few days, and now I can share my thoughts. It's a good album, and in some ways, quite bold, but at times it feels a bit boring since it lacks the power I’d expect from a Daft Punk record. There are many nice songs but none that are out of this world ("Instant Crush" and "Lose Yourself To Dance" stand out), while "Touch" is tedious and overly self-satisfied, "Beyond" and "Motherboard" feel anonymous, and "The Game Of Love" sounds like it belongs in a porn film. It’s not a bad album, though; personally, I prefer the rougher sound of the much underrated Human After All.

More and more tacky :D However, the VIP version of Internet Friends was frankly unnecessary.

And Relapse, which is worth more than both Encore and Recovery, you don't mention it?

Instead, I really liked "There Is...". This is another good album, but it loses a bit in the middle; it's a real pity because I think the addition of the keyboardist in place of the second guitarist was a smart move. And honestly, I don't feel Linkin Park and Lostprophets that much anymore.
Noyz Narcos Monster

It's not Noyz's third album. Still, it's a nice record, better than Guilty, but Verano Zombie is unbeatable.

Very disappointing as an album, in fact, it's just bad. You can tell it was rushed between commitments, with many beats and lyrics that don't convince. And then, in my opinion, he really overdid it with these pseudo-dubstep beats. The first album was amazing and truly a breath of fresh air in Italian rap; even Death Usb didn't fully convince me, and this one has quite disappointed me.
Iggy And The Stooges Ready to die

Saw them last year in downtown Florence and they still know how to kick ass! I still have to listen to the album, but if I think about the fact that it's the first album with the Raw Power lineup after Raw Power (excluding the poor Ron Asheton), it sounds promising!
Death Grips The Money Store

I've been listening to it these days. I disagree with the review; this is a really great album, out of the ordinary, with some incredibly sick electronic instrumentals!
Calvin Harris 18 Months
Voto:
Honestly, I'm not so surprised anymore, considering that these sounds (let's say Pop/House) are really in vogue now, and even in many clubs/discos, they don't play anything else.

If you think that Calvin Harris represents the current electronic scene, in my opinion, you're dead wrong. It's just that Pop has become "electronified," and so DJs have made a comeback in the mainstream, take David Guetta for instance. As for whether new Prodigy or Chemical Brothers have emerged in recent years, I have my doubts, but if you want to get an idea of what electronic music is like now, forget about stuff like Harris and company.
